Assembly Resolution No. 1286
Whereas, Phoenix Ranch and the California Education Through Animals Foundation are dedicated to promoting positive relationships between people and animals, and for their distinguished records of public service and immeasurable contributions to the advancement of the community and State, they are deserving of special public recognition and the highest commendations; and
Whereas, In addition to the many services it offers to the publish for the health, safety, and emotional well-being of animals and their owners, the California Education Through Animals (CETA) Foundation partners with Phoenix Ranch to provide educational and therapeutic programs to the residents of the community, including those with special needs and at-risk youth; and
Whereas, Phoenix Ranch provides a positive environment for visitors to interact with well-socialized animals and with each other, and the CETA Foundation involves community volunteers in animal stewardship and public service; and
Whereas, Established in 2001, Phoenix Ranch is looking back with pride and forward with hope as it celebrates its tenth anniversary year, recognizing its many accomplishments yet knowing how much more necessary work remains to be done as it continues its diligent efforts with the California Education Through Animals Foundation in improving the quality of life for animals and the general community; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by Assembly Member Mariko Yamada, that Phoenix Ranch and the California Education Through Animals Foundation be commended for the outstanding contributions it has made to the local community through its programs, and extended sincere best wishes for success in the future.
